Our wedding took place on July 7, 2012.
Kevin M. Fairman, 39, Tattoo Artist. Lives in Chicago, IL.
Veronica D. Jordan, 35, Paralegal. Lives in Chicago, IL.
Kevin and I met in May of 1996. Kevin was 24 and I was 20. We would like to say that it was love at first sight, but let's be real. Kevin and I spent a year together, getting to know each other and our families. Our favorite memory of when we were in our twenties was taking a road trip to Wisconsin Dells the Winter of 1997. Like most young love, ours fizzled out and we went our separate ways in early summer of 1997.During our time apart we both had two children. Kevin had a boy and a girl, Kevin, Tianna and adopted son Raphael. I had two sons Ronald and Roger.Fast forward almost 11 years to the date May of 2007, for our paths to cross again. We sat and talked for 30 - 40 minutes catching up. We decided then to go to dinner that very night. One of our favorite places when we were dating, Mellow Yellow in Hyde Park.
Our Wedding will take place at the Parkway Ballroom on July 7, 2012.

About the Parkway Ballroom: The Parkway Ballroom was once the swing and sway palace of Bronzeville. From 1940 to 1974, the Ballroom was the destination of choice for Chicago's African American community. At The Parkway, social, civic, and industrial organizations held their annual fundraisers, membership teas and graduation balls; happy crowds danced the night away to the incomparable melodies of Count Basie, Sarah Vaughn and Nat King Cole; and families celebrated birthdays, weddings, and reunions.
